OPEN DOOR WORSHIP CENTER OF FENNVILLE, MI
Pastor Dale Scholten and his late wife Mary had always wanted to open
a thrift store with proceeds benefiting mission trips and God's work in
villages overseas.
The Scholtens founded Fennville-based Open Door Worship Center in 1994 and
along with New Harvest Ministries of Holland, have taken many mission trips to
share the word of the Gospel and help villages and orphanages in India and
Tanzania.
Through their work, there are now eight branches of Bible colleges in
Tanzania, more than 80 fresh water wells dug in India and hundreds of children
in orphanages across India are fed and clothed through funds provided and raised
by Open Door and New Harvest Ministries.
Their hope finally became a reality on August 6, 2012 when the Open Door
Mission Store, an outreach of their church, opened for business.
